Strategic Projects Unit
Coordinating institutional strategy, international research projects and talent development to strengthen ICMAB’s long-term impact.
Turning institutional strategy into coordinated action
Created in 2016, the Strategic Projects Unit (SPU) provides strategic solutions to institutional challenges and leads the implementation and monitoring of the ICMAB Strategic Plan.
The Unit coordinates with Direction, Governing Bodies and Research Units to align activities with ICMAB’s long-term vision. It monitors strategic funding, controls and reports institutional projects, and identifies opportunities that support the institute’s strategy and innovation objectives.
The SPU also manages institutional actions connected with the Severo Ochoa programme and supports researchers in preparing, submitting, implementing and reporting projects and grants.
Three specialised offices
The SPU is organised into three complementary offices, each linked to a strategic institutional project and a distinct area of support.
